Hygiene Protocols in Dr. Dave’s Office



Thankfully the Pandemic has ended, but we will continue to keep you safe in this office. I was fully vaccinated and will take all the boosters as they are offered. In addition, I am going to wear a mask and gloves to make it safe for you. We will use patient barriers and fully clean the table in between every patient. Most importantly we will use a combination of Three Air Inlets -- Twelve Fans -- One Massive Air Outlet to give the office a constant outside air ventilation. Scheduling is done in a single stream fashion so the office is never crowded: you will not have to wait long periods or be in large groups. These efforts will put the burden on me so your experience in my office will be different from almost all of your other doctors offices. Thanks, Dr. Dave

Electrical Muscle Stimulation



Electrical Muscle Stimulation or “Stim” is the most common second treatment protocol in a chiropractic office. It comes in multiple forms: Interferential, Russian, Premodulated, High Volt and TENS are the most ubiquitous. Russian offers muscle building and range of motion increases. While the rest offer various types of pain reduction and tissue repair. For more than a 100 yrs this form of therapy has been commonplace because it is so effective and can be so broadly applied to care.



therapeutic ultrasound



Therapeutic ultrasound is effective on both hard tissue and soft tissue healing. It allows for great depth of penetration without anything invasive by using sound waves and a transducing agent. Along with Pressure Ice Message - Ultrasound - is the deepest therapy offered without a surgical intervention.



intersegmental traction



Intersegmental traction or Rolling Table is an established y-axis and z-axis form of traction. It is effective at curve restoration for lumbars and cervicals while also being pleasant. Intersegmental traction helps decompress and thicken intervertebral discs while lying supine on a massage table. It is both easy to tolerate and fun to do.



KinesioTape application



Kinesiotape is the new form of athletic tape. It allows a patient to wear a single tape job for up to 5 days. Kinesiotape is easy to apply and remove and it is functional in both wet and dry sports. It offers a patient both bracing and compression for soft tissue and joint injuries.



Cervical traction



Cervical Traction is offered in both Y-axis and Z-axis. A new look at an old idea is offered in a cervical-pro hanging traction delivering vertical traction with a cam. And a new version of Z-axis traction is available in a posture-pump delivering curve restoration. Both allow the patient to control the tension and gently exit the gear at any time.



low force chiropractic adjustment



Additional chiropractic adjusting techniques with lower force are available as well. Along with hands on Full Spine, Diversified, and Sacro-Occipital adjustments you can get more gentle Instrument adjustments or low force drop table adjustments. Two Instruments: activator and arthrostim are offered - they are low force and fast. Thompson drop table is a gentle table assisted hands on adjustment. New Life Upper Cervical / Toggle Adjustments are available as well.
